Dr. Anthony E. Jones

Dr. Anthony E. Jones serves as the Vice President for Diversity and Inclusion at Centre College. A native of Youngstown, Ohio, and a first-generation college graduate, he earned a bachelor’s degree in art and information systems from the University of Mount Union, followed by master’s and doctoral degrees from Eastern Kentucky University.

Dr. Jones oversees the development and implementation of initiatives that foster an inclusive and supportive campus environment. His work includes designing and delivering impactful programs, training, workshops, consultations, and strategic planning that advance diversity, equity, and inclusion and create a sense of belonging across the Centre community. Known for his philosophy of connection and intentional listening, Dr. Jones is committed to ensuring that every student feels valued, respected, and empowered to succeed.

Inspired by the mentorship he received during his educational journey, Dr. Jones is dedicated to paying it forward. He brings a wealth of experience and a deep commitment to civil discourse, understanding, and collaborative problem-solving.

Dr. Jones and his family reside in Danville, where he continues to build meaningful connections with students, faculty, staff, and community members.
